FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK
Mike Allgire (Brian) - Vocals
Leading the charge on vocals with Bon Scott's attitude-filled humor and Brian Johnson's razor-sharp growl is Mike Allgire.
Born and raised in Santa Rosa, California, Mike started playing guitar at 17. Majorly influenced by ‘70s rock acts like KISS, Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, and yes…AC/DC, Mike felt a little bit like an outcast in school as other people were listing to the ‘90s bands of the time.
Mike moved to Denver, Colorado in 2006 and that was when he first started performing in bands. First as a guitar player in the band Eye-25, then starting an original/cover band called Dogs of Prague, where he started to perform vocals in addition to playing guitar.
After Dogs of Prague ended, Mike started getting back to simpler times and found his love for punk rock, starting the bands The Wilder Genes and American Wristband.
Josh Genito (Angus) - Guitar
Burning up the fretboard while strutting in the classic Angus Young schoolboy outfit is Josh Genitio.
Greg Sumpter (Malcom) - Guitar/Vocals
Holding steady with those uncanny Malcolm Young rhythms is Greg Sumpter.
Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Greg is the only Colorado native in the band. Greg got interested in hard rock music via Kiss, then moved on to become a big fan of 80’s Hair and 90’s Grunge music, and the guitar gods of the era.
Fast forward to the early 00’s, Greg and his brother (who is also a guitar player) decided form a full band and see where it would go. They recruited a vocalist, drummer and bassist and started Slugworth. To their surprise, they morphed in to a successful cover band, and played all around the Denver area for 15+ years.
Eventually, life happened; band members got married, had kids, moved for jobs, etc. and Slugworth parted ways on good terms. Still with that love for music and live playing, Greg was looking to get back into the music scene. Having a love for AC/DC, and seeing an ad for an AC/DC tribute forming, he stepped into Malcom’s shoes
Jeff Line (Cliff) - Bass/Vocals
Keeping the Cliff Williams low-end on-point and in the groove is Jeff Line.
Growing up in Oceanside, California and coming from a family that were huge music fans, Jeff’s biggest influences were Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, and pretty much anything classic rock. His parents would take him to see these bands, that cemented his decision to dedicate his life to playing live music. He also enrolled in music school to learn jazz, sight reading, sound engineering, and music production.
Before moving to Colorado in 2017 and joining up with Keith in Almost Famous, Jeff lived in Los Angeles for 10 years; playing in an Eagles tribute band, a ‘90s cover band, and an original band called Cityzen. Playing shows at such historic venues like the Whiskey, The Roxy, and The Troubadour.
Keith “Basher” Pearl (Phil) - Drums/Vocals
Keeping the time and cloning the human metronome, Phil Rudd, is Keith Pearl.
"The Bashman" was born in Baltimore, Maryland and started teaching himself drums when he was 9 years old. At such a ripe young age, he did not know what an inverted image was, so as Keith watched all of his favorite bands in their videos, he emulated what he saw the drummer doing…or at least what he thought the drummer was doing. Even though he is right-handed, he taught himself to play left-handed.
While in Baltimore, Keith held down the beat for 7 years in Nature's Child, who was voted one of Baltimore's best bands. Keith has been in Colorado for the last 25 years and has shared the stage with many local bands such as Never Surrender, Almost Famous, and DOR (just to name a few).
